Well she would not fall for his mission to distract her, she was in control contrary to his beliefs. Refusing to continue wasting time by thinking about him, she quickly showered then went straight to bed. Unfortunately no matter how hard she tried, her thoughts kept going back to that elevator ride and Mr. Kings molesting hands.

By morning she was fully frustrated and debating revenge, she hadn’t slept a wink and was beginning to feel the repercussions from it. Try as she might, she just couldn’t let the elevator incident go, Mr. King had gone too far this time and she wouldn’t be able to live with herself if she didn’t get him back for it. He was disrespectful to women who did not bow on their knees before him, but somehow she would show him that not all women were willing to let him escape his penalties.

Deciding to avoid Mr. King until she could find the perfect revenge, Heaven came to the office very early that morning. She walked straight to the cafeteria first, needing her caffeine fix and was happy to find they had just put out a fresh pot of coffee. She had just tipped the pot of steaming coffee when she saw Ian walk in the room. She immediately knew something was up, since Ian made it a point to never enter the cafeteria. Ian had an amazing knack for sneaking up on her when no one was around that always gave her the creeps.

Ian smiled at his fellow attorney, something he rarely did, but Ian had been smitten with Heaven since the first day he met her. He would just watch her sometimes, she was the perfect woman, she was highly intelligent, fierce in the courtroom, and clever as well as beautiful. But her most endearing quality to Ian was the fact that she hated his little brother Julian almost as much as he did.

If Ian wasn’t married, she would be the type of woman that he would have handpicked, a woman who would give him smart, strong children and bring intellect to his personal life. But alas, he was married and there was no way out of it. Ian was not the cheating type nor was he the divorce type. His mother would be ashamed of him, she would never forgive him and that was something he would not allow to happen. His mother adored his wife’s family, and his mother in law had been her best friend for years, but he knew the reason his mother really liked them was because they were almost as wealthy as her own family. She had always been very adamant about depleting their family’s worth by picking the wrong spouse.

“My brother is working very hard to become partner,” Ian began, “I had a chance to review his proposal and I hate to admit it, but I was very impressed, I know my father will be as well.” he said as she poured a large amount of sugar in her coffee. Ian frowned, he despised sweets and preferred his coffee black, just the thought of all that sugar made his stomach quake. “I would hate to see you lose out on becoming partner, especially when we both know my brother is not qualified for this position.”

“He’s more than qualified for this position.” she spoke honestly, in all fairness, Julian was probably over qualified, the man was a genius when it came to the courtroom.

“But he is too busy indulging himself to be as dedicated as you would. My father needs a reliable partner.” he looked her straight in the eye.

“And that is exactly why I will beat him.” she grinned smugly and Ian smiled wide, revealing the dimple on the side of his face that he had inherited from his mother.

“I have faith in you, but do what you must to win. Make sure you review anything that could stand in the way.”

“I always do.” she nodded then left the break room. She was thankful to Ian’s advice and the heads up he always seemed to give her. But deep inside she could never trust a man who could easily backstab his own family. To go so far as to encourage your brother’s enemy to beat him was unforgivable in her eyes.

Despite Ian’s reasons, his message was clear, Julian King had worked harder on this then she had thought. Heaven felt her anxieties flair and for the first time since she could remember she was nervous about winning. She could not afford to lose this position, she refused to even risk it, there had to be something she could do, she was beyond desperate at this point. There was no way in hell she would let that sex-obsessed cretin get that position, especially after what he done to her in the elevator.

“If only I could take a peek at his proposal.” she whispered to herself once she was in the safety of her own office. That’s when it dawned on her, that’s exactly what she would have to do to ensure her own victory, she had no other choice then to review what he had so far.

A Little Sabotage

Julian was feeling beside himself, no matter how hard he tried, he could not sate his lust. He was used to his over-active libido, but this was something else entirely. It had started the night in the elevator, and had escalated to an almost unbearable state. He knew that it was that witch Ms. Deville, she must have cast some type of spell on him or something. When he had pressed his body against hers, it seemed as if all of her repressed sexual energy had transferred to him, forcing him to feel like a desperate virgin trying to gorge himself to make up for lost time.

At lunch, he left the office seeking relief from the insufferable knowledge that she was in close proximity, and he tried to clear his mind of his raging erection as well as the fantasies he was creating around it. He was becoming increasingly irritable and when he entered the café to get his coffee he was scanning the room for available women, or at least a familiar face. He had seen a few women he considered fuck-able but was too irritated to make the effort, instead he grabbed his coffee and left. By the time he had walked back to the office and entered the main lobby, in Julian’s mind, he had tied Heaven down to his desk and was releasing his frustration on her.

“Well hello King.” Julian heard the soft angelic voice and looked up to see Angelina, the new mailroom girl. She stood before him, her stance suggestive as she thrust out her breasts and twirled a long blonde lock of hair. Her bright green eyes silently begged him to fuck her that very moment and he fought the urge to invite her for a tryst in the elevator. He cursed his thoughts as an image of Ms. Deville pushed against the elevator panel flashed into his mind.

“Hello.” he nodded, trying to avoid her alluring eyes, else he say something regrettable as well as un-retractable. He stood there silently as she looked at him and the moment the elevator door opened he rushed in. she had followed behind and was now standing at his side, her expressive eyes urging him to look at her. He finally relented and turned his head in her direction.

“You really don’t remember me?” the pretty blonde-haired woman pouted.

“You work in the mailroom right?” he raised his brow.

“I mean before that.” she looked down at his erection then back up to his eyes.

“Refresh my memory.”

“How much longer do you have for lunch? I don‘t live to far from here.” she winked as she stepped closer to him, her hip brushing against his jacket.

“My office is closer.” he suggested and she smiled. Once they were out of the elevator, he was ready to direct her to his office and was surprised to see she already knew where it as. Once they were inside, he locked the door, turned down the light and had her bent over his desk within seconds. He spent the next twenty minutes deep inside of her and trying with all of his mite to ejaculate, but for some reason it would not happen. He attempted to convince himself his failure to erect was due to his surroundings, but he knew the truth.  He was going crazy, he needed to get out of the office and take the available girl to his hotel.

“Get dressed, we’re going to my place.” he said as he walked into the small bathroom.

“What will I tell them in the mail room?” she asked, seeing an expensive ring in his opened desk drawer, then with the skills of a professional thief she slid her hand back and quickly grabbed it. He would not care, he had given her an expensive bracelet last time she was with him and had admitted he kept gifts like that around for such occasions. He would never miss it and when she was done with him, he would be offering her a lot more than some ring.

“Tell them I asked you to help me sort through my mail.” he walked back into the room and grabbed his things. “Are you coming?”

“Of course.” she answered, batting her long lashes as she slipped the ring into her tiny skirt pocket undetected, since Julian was too consumed with feeding his libido to notice anything.

Heaven sat in her office for the rest of the day trying to talk herself out of the plan she was cooking up in her brain. But for the life of her, she could not stop and was becoming more obsessed with each passing hour. By the time everyone had left for the night, she was ready for action.

Heaven waited until every employee of the firm had left the building before she emerged from her office. The lights were out and the whole place looked deserted, even the maintenance men had gone home for the night. She slowly walked over to Julian King’s office, looking around to make sure no one spontaneously appeared from the darkness. She reached up to her hair and pulled the lock-pick shaped bobby-pins from her thick bun then started to pick open the barrier preventing her from entering his office.

“This is so risky Sevigne,” she shook her head at her own audacity. “Unbelievably stupid.” she continued, thoroughly shocked by what she was doing. “Probably the stupidest thing you’ve done yet.” she carried on with her self-directed verbal onslaught. “I wonder about your sanity, your sense of reason and your clever way of rationalizing something so completely irrational.” she mumbled, fumbling with his lock. “And no matter how impulsive and immature this is, you are still breaking into his office as you speak.” she twisted the hairpin just right and she heard the lock click. “Shit.” She was secretly hoping that karma or the powers that be would see her foolish mistake and help a poor fool out by not allowing the door to unlock. But alas, there she was, fool of the year, standing inside the door she had just illegally opened.  “Oh you deserve what you get for this.” she chided herself as she quickly slipped inside of his office.

She went straight over to his desk and after a quick scan, she realized that he had put all of his paperwork away. She immediately used her hairpins to pick the small locked drawer in the middle of the desk, and felt the excitement in her belly when she found his proposal just lying there. She stood back for a moment and just stared at the tempting folder,

“This is the moment of truth Sevigne, will you do the dumbest thing you can think of to solve this problem? Or will you do the right thing and turn around leaving empty handed?” she tried to pull away or at least turn her head from the tempting object, but she could not. She had come all this way and even broke into his office, the least she could do was take a look at it. So she picked up the folder and quickly read it. “Damn he really did work hard on this, you do realize how unfair this is right Sevigne?” she was hoping her own words would convince her mind to change. “Have you really sunk so low to resort to petty theft?” she took one more look at his well-written proposal.

It was just too good for her to take that chance.

Without another thought, she slipped it in her briefcase. “I guess so.” she shook her head as she closed the drawer. If she did this, she would have to be committed to the act and fully cover her tracks. She knew damn well that a proposal this good was on a backup file on his computer, and in order for her plan to work, she would have to eradicate all existing files

She quickly turned on his computer then slipped in the CD that contained the lethal virus, before she sat back and watched it quickly swept through his files then delete everything. She felt a twinge of quilt but her competitive nature quickly overpowered it, she needed that position and she refused to lose. He was the boss’s son, he would get another chance, but she on the other hand was not guaranteed another opportunity like this. When she was certain all the files regarding the promotion were wiped clean from his computer, she removed the disc then shut it down. She gave one last sweep through his desk, before quietly letting herself out of the office. Before closing the door, she looked back one last time and wondered where her mind was at, she had gone to extreme lengths to win in the past, but never had her tactics been unfair or illegal.

“It’s too late to back down now.” her words boomed in her ears and she felt a deep sense of doom suddenly cloud around her head. She had a strange feeling she may have unknowingly set herself on a path that would change her life forever.

She shut the door behind her carefully, but the lock clicking back in place made her jump, it symbolized the reality of what she had done and what she was capable of. It was game on now and she had to be careful, being caught for breaking and entering was not an option. She walked out to her car, silently praying for forgiveness and guidance, since she was obviously not smart enough to make the right decisions on her own. She prayed that Julian would never catch her, but ultimately she prayed for salvation from her wicked ways and all the deceitful thoughts running through her head.

DAMN!

Heaven spent a long night simmering in her joy, the anxieties she had felt were gone by the time she got home and were replaced with a vast sense of victory. She decided the best plan of action was to act perfectly normal and if need be, deny, deny, deny!

She went to work in her usual fashion, her held high, with a powerful stride to her walk and ignoring all those around her. As she passed by Julian’s office she saw the company’s repair man removing his computer and had trouble preventing a giggle from escaping. By lunch she was on cloud nine and confident that no one would ever suspect it was her, they would naturally assume that it was Julian’s stalking saboteur.
