Megan smiled, and nodded
. “Good, because she doesn't deserve to be a single mother of twins.”

“I will be there for her and our babies no mat
ter what.” Jennifer’s heart swelled, and there was a strong movement in her abdomen. She gasped, and fell to her knees. “Jennifer!” Phoenix said, and she looked up. She put her hand on her abdomen, and she felt movement. Phoenix lifted her face, and she felt her tears streaming down her face. “Megan is calling Max.”

Jennifer shook
her head. “Let me see your hand.” His eyebrows furrowed together, and she smiled. He gave her his hand and she placed it where the movement was. Within a few seconds she and Phoenix felt it, and his eyes widened. He looked down, and a slow smile formed on his face.

“Max was in the area, he'll be here soon. He
said--” Megan stopped talking when she saw Phoenix and Jennifer.

“Megan
, come here,” Jennifer said, and Megan did. She put her hand on Jennifer's abdomen.

Jennifer smiled at the two people she loved. The only one missing was
her mom. Another strong movement made her gasp again. “Holy shit! That is so awesome!” Megan said and Jennifer burst out laughing. Jennifer glanced at Phoenix and he looked like he might pass out. She looked back at Megan, and she nodded. She knew Jennifer wanted to be alone with him. “I'm going to go wait for the good doctor outside. What does he look like?”

“He has black hair and green eyes. Oh and he is drop dead gorgeous.” Jennifer

“Great
, drop dead gorgeous can help me carry up my bag. That's if you want me back.”

Jennifer nodded, and grinned
. “Of course I do!” Megan winked at her and turned around to walk out of the apartment.

As soon as the door shut Phoenix looked
up at Jennifer. “Our babies.” She heard Phoenix whisper and at the sound of their father's voice they start moving again. He laughed, and she did too.

“I think they are enchanted by your voic

Jennifer only understoo

Phoenix kept

She wondered if he would

. “Jennifer--” He was cut off when Megan and Max walked in.

“Hello sweetheart, so I hear you have felt
your babies moving.” She stood up next to Phoenix and nodded. “Normally you wouldn’t feel your babies move until you were at fourteen to sixteen weeks. But since you are a Nephilim, and Phoenix is an incubus, your babies will grow faster.” He walked over to her and took Jennifer into a warm hug. Over his shoulder she watched Megan staring at Max, and she smiled at Megan.

He touched

“Does this mean after the babies are born, they
will grow up faster?” He smiled and shook his head.

“No, after they are born they will age normal
ly until they are twenty-five.” She already knew that part. He pulled out this weird circle thing and spun some things around. “I have your due date at September fifteenth.”

Jennifer's jaw dro
ps open. “That is only like a few days away.” She knew she wouldn’t be ready to be a mother by then.

“It can
change; we don’t really know how things are going to go. You may go before or after that date. I want you to take it easy, and not overly stress.” She stared at him.

“I
need to sit down.” Phoenix took her into his arms, and sat her on the couch. In few days they would be parents. She started to breath heavily, and her heart started to race.

“Jennifer
, I really need you to calm down.” She looked up into calm green eyes, and nodded. “I know that this seems crazy to you, but you aren’t the first Nephilim to get pregnant from an incubus. You are my first patient to be one though.” He bent down and knelt on his knees. He took her hands. “You will be a phenomenal mother, and you'll have Phoenix to help you.” He squeezed her hands, and stood up. “Call my office and make an appointment, for next week.” He shook Phoenix's hand and then turned to her best friend. “Will you walk me out, sweet Megan?”

Jennifer watched
Megan blush then giggle. “Yeah.” Megan looked down, and he walked up to her. They walk out together, and Jennifer grinned.

“Does she know about me being an
incubus?” Jennifer slowly turned her attention to him.

“Yes
, I told her everything” He nodded.

“Well you do need someone else to talk to about all of this. I do wish you kept that to yourself, humans don’t understand us. They think we are all evil because of the stories, but we aren’t.
Not all of us at least.” She had already seen so much good in him that she could never think he was evil. She yawned. “Let's go to bed.”

He stood up and offered
his hand; smiling she took it. “You’re still staying?”

He pulled
her back to her bedroom. “Darling I told you I was, it doesn’t change just because Megan's back.” He shut the bedroom door behind them and she couldn't stop her smile. “Now, let's get undress and snuggle naked.” She laughed and got undressed. The drive to work

“Jennifer, in my office.” Phoenix
was already walking into his office when she looked up. He didn’t sound too happy either. She sighed and walks in his office. “Shut the door.” He said with his back to her.
