Her breathy panting told him her sexual need had rocketed, and she wasn’t experiencing pain, only the same incredible ache he’d felt earlier. She squirmed against him, arching upward to rub her tits on his chest. “Yes, my nipples are too tight. They want your hands and mouth.”

His erection twitched. He needed to be inside her again. Binding her to his bed tortured him as much as her, in a good way. He brushed his lips across her cheek to her ear, nibbling on the fleshy lobe. “Soon. Spread your legs for me, sweetheart.”

Her stomach muscles quivered under his fingertips.

“No coming yet. I want to taste you again. Do you want me to lick your sweet pussy?” He traced a line down her neck with his tongue.

She opened her thighs in a wide V. “Yes, Gunnar. Make me come with your mouth.”

Her husky words sent another jolt to his dick.
To hell with tying her ankl—
No. She’d put aside her desire to bind and please him. He’d do the job the right way or not at all. And damn it, he’d treasure every second of it.

Wrapping a third tie around her left ankle, he let his imagination lead him.
Hmm.
Not spread eagle, something more intimate.
Aha.
He brought her right ankle to join her left, strapping them together to form an X. “Knees out. I want to look at your pretty pink lips. That’s it. You’re so wet, and you smell like flowers and sex.”

Lifting her bound feet over his head, he belly-crawled through the opening to tease the taut buds on her breasts. She moaned, raising her hips against his chest. Moist heat from between her thighs dampened his skin. He stiffened to keep from grinding his cock into the bed. Circling her nipple one last time with his tongue, he slid along her body until his feet were braced on the footboard. He slipped back through her legs and rested her thighs on his shoulders, his mouth inches from her responsive clit. With a single swipe from her wet tunnel to the swollen nub, he savored the musky flavor of her sex.

“Don’t stop. More. Please more, Gunnar.” He smiled at her desperate tone.

“Are you close, sweetheart? Do you want me eat you and make you come now?”
Yes. Say yes. I’m ready.

“So…close.” She arched her hips into his face. “And I want you to…
fuck
me. I need you inside me.”

Another of those naughty words from that angelic mouth. It shot his control. Burying his tongue in her folds, he reached up to cradle her tits in his palms and rub his thumbs over her nipples. He stabbed into her, making love to her with his tongue, then fluttered back and forth across her juicy slit. Her clit swelled against him, her pussy lips kissing him as he flicked faster.

Her thighs squeezed his jaw, her whole body shuddering. “Oh, God! Gunnar, I’m coming! Don’t stop! Don’t stop!”

Sucking her clit into his mouth, he loved her until her cries turned to satisfied sighs and her muscles went slack. He released her long enough to climb up to nuzzle her jaw and pull the loose end of the tie fastened to the corner post. His erection pulsed, ready to push into her.

Condom!
Shit, he’d almost forgotten. Reaching for the nightstand, he tugged on the drawer handle and grabbed the box of Trojans. Good thing it wasn’t a new package. He didn’t have the patience for more than ripping open the foil packet and rolling on the latex. “Loop your arms around my neck and your legs around my hips.”

She followed his instructions, rubbing her heels on his lower back and gently scraping her fingernails against his scalp. As he lowered his mouth to hers, he slid into her welcoming body. A slow, silky glide home. His balls finally rested against the smooth skin between her pussy and her ass. Her tongue slid along his. Parry, retreat. Parry, retreat. Was she ready for him to move in the same smooth rhythm? He hoped so because he needed to feel the friction of her walls gripping his cock as he pulled out and pushed in. Out, in. Out, in.

“You feel so good, Andromeda.” He trailed a line of kisses to her jaw. “Like we were made to fit together.”

“Mm-hm.” Her teeth nipped at the sensitive skin below his ear then she soothed the bite with a lick. “Made for each other.”

His balls tightened. Between being inside her and her agreement about their perfect match, his dick was about to explode. He pumped into her, increasing his pace. Her inner muscles squeezed and pulsed as he pounded into her. “Come for me again, sweetheart! Now!”

Growling through the rush of his orgasm, he met her gaze, watching her eyes drift closed with the waves of pleasure washing over her. She milked him dry, and the euphoria didn’t end. Weightlessness. Mindlessness. Absolute bliss…

“I love you, Gunnar.” The whisper floated into his barely conscious brain.

A second later, the words registered. His physical orgasm didn’t begin to compare with the emotional one. He cupped her face in his palms. “I love you, too.”

Rolling to his side, he took her with him, her fingers still buried in his hair. The happiness in her bright-blue eyes stole his breath.
Now or never.

With a breath for courage, he asked the question he’d considered numerous times over the last four months. “I want to be bound to you forever. Will you marry me, sweetheart?”

Andromeda’s heart stopped. Surely she hadn’t heard him ask her to marry him. She’d dreamed of waking every morning next to him, sharing more than an employer and lab space. “Gunnar, did you…?”

He stroked her hair, rubbing several strands against his cheek. “Marry me, sweetheart. This house…I bought it with you in mind. The dresser by the windows is yours. Half the closet is waiting for you to fill it with your clothes, although I’d really prefer to see you out of those baggy suits. Which side of the bed do you want? It’s yours.”

Kissing his hand, she swallowed past the lump in her throat. He’d done all this for her. The whole time she’d wanted to be with him, he’d felt the same. “Yes, I’ll marry you, Gunnar. I don’t care where I sleep as long as you’re with me.”

He smiled. “So I don’t have to tie you to the bed to keep you here?”

A giggle bubbled up from her racing heart. “Maybe you should, just in case.”

DEDICATION

For my mom, whose encouragement means more to me than you will ever know, and to this wonderful group of women that have taught me so much in the last year.

Chapter 1

“The job’s yours.”

What? Did he just say I had the job? Oh, my God, this is great!

“My only concern…”

His low voice, or maybe the tapping of his fingers on his desk, caused Lindsey to narrow her gaze upon Jud Thompson. He leaned forward from his chair, resting his elbows on the antique mahogany desk. He was a large man with wide shoulders and a slight belly who spoke with a long, slow drawl reminiscent of someone who lived their entire life in the Carolinas.

He tapped his fingers on the desk again but with more determination. “Look, Lindsey, I need to know you have thick skin. This business is made up of men that don’t think before they speak. You need to be able to handle comments from the guys. I’m not saying I condone their behavior, but NASCAR is what it is. It’s made up of stubborn men who don’t listen.” He smiled and cocked his head. “And trust me, I’m one of them.”

“Mr. Thompson, you don’t need to worry. I can hold my own…”
Most of the time.
“And I’m not one to take offense to things easily.”

“First, call me Jud. Second, it’s my job to worry.” He sat back in his chair, eyeing her from across the desk. “Thompson Motorsports now has four of the top drivers in NASCAR, and expectations are high for the season. Needless to say, I’ve got my hands full, which is why I’ve hired you to handle Craig Westmoreland’s current sponsors and bring new sponsors on board.”

“I promise I won’t let you down.”

“You, I’m not worried about. Craig and the guys…well, that’s another story.” Jud let out a slow breath. “You’ll have your hands full with Craig. He’s arrogant, cocky, and stubborn. He doesn’t like to be handled, and that’s precisely what your job will be. Making sure he meets his commitments with our sponsors and others will be a big part of your job.” He paused for a moment. “But for all of Craig’s bad habits, he understands this is a business, and he’s one hell of a driver. He can do things with a car like no one else.”

“You’re right. He’s a great driver with a growing fan base.” Lindsey smiled before continuing. “Between his talent and fans, I’m sure I can lock in more sponsors.”

“I like how you think Lindsey.” Jud smacked his hands on his desk and stood up. “Why don’t I take you downstairs, show you ’round the garage and introduce ya to Craig and the guys.”

Standing up, Lindsey felt the muscles tighten in her stomach, and an exciting shiver ran through her body. She’d gotten the job. A job she desperately wanted and needed. A job that was sure to change her life for the better, or at least get her out of the bad working environment she’d found herself trapped in.

Trapped.

That was exactly how she’d felt. She wasn’t even sure how it happened. She was good at her job. Actually, she was damn good at it, and everyone knew it. But what people didn’t know was the verbal abuse she had endured for years from her boss. At first, she was able to just let his comments go and not dwell on them. But over time, it began to wear on her. The constantly being told she was wrong when she wasn’t. Being told she wasn’t being a team player when she was just trying to prevent him from making an ass of himself. Being blamed for any- and everything.

Without even realizing it, Lindsey allowed her boss to tear her down little by little. To the point she no longer believed in herself. It was a sobering moment when she realized how far she’d fallen. It took months for her to build up the confidence to begin looking for a new job—to realize she could do anything and didn’t
need
her old job.

Smoothing out the wrinkles in her skirt, she smiled at Jud and walked toward the door he held open for her. Even as she walked with him down the hall with this exciting new job opportunity, she found herself still battling her past demons. Self-doubt was apparently something that didn’t just go away. It was something that she’d have to continue to work on. It left her wondering if she really could handle Craig Westmoreland and the other men.

I can do this…I think…

Chapter 2

Lindsey struggled to keep pace with Jud’s long strides as they walked down one hall and then another, until he stopped in front of a huge glass window that looked out over the property.

“As you can see, this is a large complex.” Jud turned toward her. “Administration offices are up on the third floor. On the main floor are the gift shops and each team garage that houses the cars.” Looking out the window, he pointed over to the side at another large building. “That’s where we build the engines, and over there is the building where we paint the cars.” He cocked his head to the side and led her to the elevator where he pushed the button for the main floor.
