I was smiling until I saw Michelle approaching the wrong nigga with her arms open as she tried to get a hug. It was the wrong nigga because it ain’t Rashard’s birthday, but I’m the right bitch to take her outside and beat that ass for being disrespectful. I watched closely as he stepped out the way of her hug before he whispered something in her ear. My blood started to boil until they both turned around and he pointed at me. When she turned and looked at me, she took off running. I have no idea what the two of them have going on but I’m for damn sure am going to find out.

Rashard walked up to me and kissed me so passionately, everybody else disappeared. When he pulled away, I didn’t even care about Michelle’s ass no more. I was addicted to this man and we hadn’t even had sex yet. “Get to work, Miss Lady,” he said to me before he kissed me on my forehead.

I walked back up to the stage because I had a special surprise for the birthday boy. “Can I get the birthday boy to come up to the stage?” I asked over the microphone. He had so many hoes in his ear it was unbelievable and they all gave me an evil glare. I flashed a smile in their direction and turned to set the stage up for my surprise. I sat the microphone down and got Tony to hand me a chair. Of course, the birthday boy had to get a lap dance!

“Can I blindfold you?” I asked in his ear. He nodded his head and grinned from ear to ear. Once he was blindfolded, I walked to the DJ booth, so I could tell him what to play. I looked out in the crowd and Rashard was looking at me quizzically, so I gave him a reassuring smile.

I turned around, gave the DJ a head nod, and the beat dropped. Ludacris started rapping as my girl made her way seductively to the stage.

Catch me in the mall, you know I buy it out

G5 plane, yeah I fly it out

Ass on the back look like Lac sitting on28s

No you can’t get her if you ain’t got plenty cake

ATL, Georgia, booties look like this size

23 waist, pretty face, thick thighs

The crowd went wild as she danced her way to the stage. I noticed Deuce’s leg was shaking but I had to wait for the head nod. When she gave it to me, I removed the blindfold and Candy was on the stage dancing in front of him. She was wearing one of those all black masquerade masks with gold specks on it. She wore a black and gold panty and bra set from Victoria’s Secret with the matching garter belt. Her all black stiletto heels had straps that crisscrossed all the way to her inner thigh, meeting the garter belt! She looked amazing and niggas were throwing money her whole way up to the stage.

I can do it big, I can do it long

I can do it whenever or however you want

I can do it up and down, I can do circles

To him I’m a gymnast, this room is my circus

I market it so good, they can’t wait to try-uh-uh-uh-uy me

I work is so good, man these niggas try to buy-uh-uh-uh-uy me

They love the way I ride it, they love the way I ride it

They love the way I ride it, they love the way I ride the beat

How I ride the beat

I ride it, they love the way I ride it

They love the way I ride it, they love the way I ride the beat

Like a freak freak freak, uh

Everybody was so focused on Candy and what she was doing that all we could hear was Ciara singing how these niggas love the way she ride it. Candy was most definitely doing the damn thing and when I looked at Deuce, he was mesmerized. She did a split and flipped backwards onto his lap while twerking. When she sat upright grinding to the beat, Deuce grabbed her hair and pulled her head close to his face, while licking her neck. By the time the song went off, I thought he was going to bend her over and fuck her right on the stage in front of everybody.

I grabbed her robe from the DJ and handed it to her, so she could go shower and get dressed to finish enjoying the party. Deuce’s ass thanked me over and over. I continued to mingle with the guests but I didn’t miss the daggers Michelle kept throwing at me with her eyes. I didn’t care though, as long as she stayed over there, I wouldn’t have to fuck her up.

After the party was over and everyone was leaving, I decided to go around to collect my table centerpieces. Raphael gave me a cart and a few boxes, so I could make one trip. Rashard pushed the cart since he was walking with me. I opened my car door and couldn’t believe my eyes! On my passenger seat, there was a cup with ten fingernails in it and a note attached to it. I grabbed the note so fast, I almost knocked the cup over.

dear bitch!

you hoes thought you killed me huh? well see you soon

Rashard

Walking Tamia out to her car was bitter sweet. I was having one of those ‘I hate to see ya leave but I love to see ya walk away’ moments. I’m ready to kick all of my bitches to the curb and date Tamia seriously. It could be us against the world! We made it to her car and got ready to load all of this shit up when she just stopped moving. I looked closer at her and it looked like she was reading something. I stood there a few minutes and waited on her to finish, but it didn’t look like too much of nothing was written on the paper.

“Babe, what’s wrong?” I asked her as I tried to figure out why she was just staring at the paper.

“He got her,” she answered me without looking up. “He got her and he’s coming to get me next,” she continued as she finally turned around to look at me. Her eyes were completely glossed over as I rushed to her and wrapped my arms around her small frame.

I was so confused about what was going on but we couldn’t talk here. “Let me load this shit up for you,” I said and sat her down in the car. Grabbing my phone out of my pocket, I called Candy.

“What’s up boss?” she said as she answered her phone.

“I need you to come out here with Tamia real quick,” I said to Candy.

“Where’s she parked?” she asked.

“To the right of the front entrance,” I said and disconnected the call. See, that’s why I’ll always fuck with Candy. She’s like family and she always got my back, no questions asked. We’ve had our share of disagreements but who doesn’t? I began loading the stuff into the car while I waited on Candy to come out. By the time I was putting the last center piece in the backseat, Candy was walking up to the car. “Listen, I need to run inside and check the cameras to see who left that note on her car. She’s shaken up and I didn’t want to leave her out here by herself,” I explained to Candy. She nodded her head and walked around to the driver’s side of the car to sit with Tamia.

I walked around to where Tamia was seated in the passenger’s seat and sat on the edge of the seat. She was still looking down at the paper so I took it and read it:

dear bitch!

you hoes thought you killed me huh? well bitch you didn’t! see you soon

Now I really needed to get my ass in my office to see what I could find out. “Babe, I’m about to go look at the cameras,” I said as I handed her back the letter. “Candy is going to stay out here with you,” I said and stood up, not really wanting to leave her out here at all. I know if something happened and I can’t get to her, she will view me as less than a man for not protecting her. “You strapped?” I asked Candy.

“Always,” she answered. I felt a little better but I still didn’t want to leave her out here like that.

I walked away from the car and headed back into Carte Blanche. As soon as I walked through the doors, you could cut the tension with a knife. I did a scan of the crowd and not much was out of place but I could still sense something was off.  I walked cautiously through the crowd until I saw one of the security guards, Tony. I walked up to him and pulled him to the side. “Aye bruh, Tamia, the one that was hosting the party,” I paused giving him time to think about who I was talking about. When he nodded his head, I continued, “She’s outside to the right of the front entrance. Candy is with her but I need you to go out and make sure nothing happens to her before I get back out there.”

“What’s going on?” he asked, slightly pissing me off.

“Keep her safe,” I said and walked away from him.

I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, which put me back on alert. I turned around and looked at every face I could but for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out what was about to go down.  I know better than to shake shit off, so I walked back through the crowd to Rafael’s office. “What’s up man?” Rafael asked without looking up. I couldn’t believe my fucking eyes! This man had already started counting tonight’s take with people still in the building! Not only that but he has he fucking office door wide open with the money sitting all over his desk.

“Man, what the fuck you doing?” I asked as I looked at the money on the desk.

“Shit, I’m trying to get outta here as early as possible man. Got me a piece I’m tryna go climb in,” he explained, like that shit made sense. Pussy is a distraction for niggas that’s not used to getting it. I wish I would allow pussy to make me do something this stupid. Ain’t nothing but street niggas in here right now and ain’t no telling what one might do if they walk by and see all of this money out.

“Man, put this shit up now or close and lock your door behind me!” I said, shaking my head.

“Oh yeah! Get Roy to shut shit down pronto! I got a bad feeling,” I said before leaving. As soon as I walked out of the office, I locked eyes with Michelle. I could see the pain and hurt in her facial expression but honestly, she had no reason to be hurt. If anything, she hurt her damn self. I wasn’t leading her on or nothing. I know my mama said I shouldn’t have fucked her but shit, Michelle was throwing it at me. She knew I didn’t want to be with her because I’d told her before. The only reason I was even going to her house was to get my damn dreads twisted any fucking way. Breaking the stare off she was trying to have, I walked away but I could still feel her eyes on me. If she would just let go and move on like normal fucking people do, she wouldn’t be hurting right now.

“Bruh, where Candy?” Deuce yelled over the music at me.

“She’s working. Aye, I’m gone get up with you in a minute. I need to check some shit out real quick,” I said and dapped him up. I walked to the elevator to access the secret one that only goes to my office

Once I got settled in my office, I checked the cameras because I just couldn’t shake the feeling that something was about to go down. I checked the inside cameras first and noticed people still hanging around. I saw Michelle sitting alone with her head in her hands. I watched for a few minutes because two guys approached her and she didn’t even look up. That shit is bad for business! You can’t be at work in your damn feelings and letting people know you’re in them. She’s a waitress, she’s supposed to be walking around flirting with niggas, not sitting down moping like she lost the last nigga on earth.  I looked at the outside surveillance cameras and could see people slowly leaving the club but I still had that feeling like something was about to happen.

I hit review to try and find out who put the letter on Tamia’s car. It took about thirty minutes of watching her car before a cab pulled up and circled the parking lot. At first, I thought it was somebody getting dropped off until the cab stopped behind her car. I have no idea how he knew it was her car because there’s nothing personalized on it. He must have been stalking her like he was stalking Armani before he took her. He had a hood on but the hood means nothing if you don’t know where the cameras are. I have cameras all over the parking lot, so I got a clear view of his face. I froze the image and printed it out, so Tamia could tell me who this guy was.

I switched the cameras back over to present time, so I could see what was going on. There were still people lingering around the inside dancing and talking. I normally don’t check the cameras in the bathroom but something told me to. Now, don’t turn your nose up at me, there aren’t any cameras in the stalls! I have the cameras behind the mirrors in the bathroom.

I could see Tiffany and Michelle sitting at the vanity table in the bathroom talking. I didn’t want to listen but something was telling me to listen, so I hit the button to play the sound. “Fuck him girl, I promise the world will not stop if you stop fucking with that nigga!” Tiffany said to Michelle.

“How could he do that to me though? And with that bitch! Shit, it’s really funny because he could have upgraded!” Michelle said, shaking her head before she started crying again. Her ass was crying because she knows Tamia is a major upgrade from her and anybody I’ve ever fucked around with. The hard thing to do is finding somebody better than Tamia! Not that I planned on it though! See, I know what I got and I know I’d never had this before. Yeah, Michelle was a good girl until she tried to pin a baby on me. She fucked us up, not me, because I loved that girl but I knew I hadn’t gotten her pregnant.

“Right bitch! Haha! If it will make you feel better, we can whoop her ass! I know she’s somewhere around here. I got my blade too ho!” Tiffany exclaimed all hyped up.

“Let’s go get her,” Michelle said and stood to her feet. She walked over to the mirror and cleaned her face as Tiffany stood behind her with a stupid smirk on her face. I watched them walk out of the bathroom and hoped they would change their minds. Hope faded away as I followed them outside using the cameras to see them.

“What’s up boss?” Candy answered her phone.

“Aye, Tiffany and Michelle on their way out there to jump on Tamia. I got a picture of the guy and I’m on my way down there,” I said into the phone.

“I got shit covered on my end,” Candy said and hung up.

Before I shut everything down, I checked the inside cameras and noticed guys hanging around the inside of the club. It was only a handful of hoes left and normally when the hoes leave, the guys leave too. Something is definitely not right. “I’m done with the count,” Rafael said into the receiver, instead of answering like a normal person.

“Aye, I got a tube system installed behind the Scarface picture. Put the money in there and send it to tube number 211,” I said to Rafael. I didn’t know what was about to happen but I know the books still needed to be added up. I heard the tube coming up, so I took the money and put it in the safe. “One more thing, you strapped?” I asked Rafael.

“Yeah, what’s going on?” he asked over the phone.

“Man, I don’t know. Ain’t nothing but niggas in the club right now. It could be nothing but it could be something,” I explained to him.

I switched to the outside cameras, so I could check the scenery. It looked like they just moved the party from inside to outside. I checked every camera in the lot and couldn’t find Michelle or Tiffany. I didn’t panic because I know Candy can handle them and I think Tamia can handle herself anyway. The thing is, Tamia is not herself right now because of the letter that was left on her car. It got her spooked and I could tell. I can’t wait to get Tamia to the apartment she shared with Armani, so we can discuss what happened. I’ve realized that I fell in love with the person she is today without knowing anything about her past. It’s very important in my line of work that I know everything about the person I’m dealing with, and I slipped when it came to her.

“Yo!” I said answering my cellphone.

“They’re surrounding my office door. You got an escape in here?” Rafael asked with panic evident in his voice.

“Naw man, lemme think,” I said, silently cursing myself for not having at least a secret elevator in his office. I was so busy making sure I would be able to get out that I didn’t think of putting anything in his office. “I almost forgot man! The guns in the ceiling! Hold on, I got you,” I said, making sure only rubber pellets were in the automatic machine guns that were located in the light fixtures.

“Get the fuck out!” my voice boomed through every speaker and intercom inside of the club, which caused the guys that were hanging around to look around the room. Nobody moved as I counted to ten in my head. Once I got to ten and everybody was still standing outside of Rafael’s door, I hit a button and lowered the machine guns, so they could be seen. “I don’t like repeating myself,” I said out loud. They continued to look around before one of them spotted the guns and pointed at them.

“Oh shit!” I heard one of them shout as he ran for the exit. “1…” I said as I aimed the guns in their direction and used the handheld remote. They all ducked simultaneously. “2…” I said and pressed the button on the remote that makes a cocking sound. The rest of the guys high tailed it out of the club.  If they were smart, they’d see that they were automatic machine guns installed so they wouldn’t need to be cocked first. I only installed that as a bluff, especially for times like this when I know I needed to get to Tamia to make sure she was ok.

*Ding*

The sound of my text message tone going off next to my ear caught me off guard because I didn’t know that Rafael had disconnected the call. I checked the picture message sent by Chardae and it was a pregnancy test that read positive.

Chardae: We need to talk asap

Rashard: I’ll come by tonight

“Fuck!” I yelled, standing up so fast that I knocked my chair over. I don’t think I got her pregnant but damn, she got me thinking about if I could have slipped up with her. I mean I’m almost certain I didn’t and I hope I didn’t because I know Tamia will be done with a nigga then. It ain’t no coming back from having a baby. I know she knows I was out there before I met her but she didn’t know I was out there careless. Hell, I actually wasn’t out there careless, now I may have a baby on the way. It was different with Michelle because checking the condom by running water in it after fucking her was like a ritual. With Chardae, she told me she was on birth control, so I know I didn’t check the condom all the time. Plus, we been fucking for a minute now with no mishaps. Fuck, I hope this hoe ain’t pregnant by me.
